BLUEFIELD CITY PARK TRAILSBluefield City Park (also known as Lotito City Park) has multiple interconnecting trails. The longest is a loop named Sleeping Wolf which is blazed yellow. Most of the other trails are located inside the yellow trail. The easiest of the real trails is blazed orange and is named Wolf Pup. An additional "trail" is named Family Friendly and parallels the park's roadway. It is fairly flat with a packed gravel surface.
There are also several short connector trails. Hiking and bikes are allowed. No horses or ATVs. Dogs must be on a leash. ENTRANCES:One entrance is at the eastern end of the system behind the tennis courts. It is the most commonly used access point in the winter months when the park road system is closed. The main entrance is located across the road from the playground. Another is just west of this. The fourth is at the western end near the upper little league fields. PROFILES:Below are profiles for the major trails. Note each graph shows two variations. One (black) is based on the topographic mapping while the other (green) is based on GPS elevation. These can vary depending on how accurate the mapping and the GPS coordinates are. If the GPS is reading ten feet west of the true location then that can move it down a steep hill quite a bit. The same is true if the mapping is off a bit. In general, though, the graphs roughly show the grades you'll encounter. I'd trust the GPS profiles (green) most.

Wolf Pup Trail (orange) - Clockwise profile, beginning at main trailhead
